WHY is it that when republicans are in
the majority things do not improve, and when
democrats are in the majority things get
worse?
We can no longer allow the vocal minority
to distort our politics. Extreme
members of our party dominate voting in the
primaries and dictate the feeble choices we
have in the general election. If WE
want to revive our party and regain the high
ground, WE must actively participate in the
process, vote for candidates who are
untainted by politics and replace career
politicians and office-shoppers with fresh,
clean candidates.
1. JOBS FIRST. Before
the federal government even thinks about
doing anything else, it needs to create
policies that will bring jobs back to
southern Nevada.
2. STOP THE DEFICITS.
With trillions of dollars in actual debt and
over 100 TRILLION dollars in unfunded future
obligations, our national security and
international stability are compromised.
The nations financing our debt are already
telling us how to handle Iran and North
Korea. It will not be long before they
are dictating other matters if we do not get
control of our debt.
3. TAXES MUST BE FAIR.
I SUPPORT THE FAIR TAX IN HR25! We can no longer afford to have a tax
structure which kills job growth, stifles
innovation and punishes success.
4. EDUCATION
must be a priority! The industries of
the 21st century will not locate to a region
that lacks a potential employee base.
To be competitive in business, our children
need a solid education grounded in civics,
math, science and reading.
5. WATER
is vital. The reserves are
dwindling, and we need a plan of action now.
6. MILITARY
The men and women of the United States Armed
Forces and their families make tremendous
sacrifices in the names of Liberty and
Freedom. We must honor their
sacrifices by calling upon them
sparingly, assuring them that when called
upon, they will have our complete support, and making sure that they are all
treated with due respect.
7. HEALTH CARE
The health care debate is far from over.
Forcing Americans to purchase health care
against their will is so offensive to our
fundamental freedoms that we must fight
back. Nowhere in the Constitution is
the federal government granted such
authority.
The current slide toward a welfare state
must be brought to a halt.
